Allied FCU Donates $600 to Hagar's Heart to Support domestic violence survivors
January 31, 2025
Allied Federal Credit Union recently donated $600 to Hagar’s Heart, a local organization that empowers domestic violence survivors through self-care, aiming to help them restore their self-worth during their recovery journey. Hagar’s Heart has helped more than 6,800 domestic violence survivors since May 2020.
"Every human deserves to feel valued and worthy of care," said AlliedFCU CEO Tonia Clark. "Our donation will help Hagar’s Heart reach even more survivors in our community with a tangible message of hope and a reminder that someone sees them and believes in their worth."
Hagar’s Heart was selected by AlliedFCU's employee-based committee which manages the credit union's Casual for a Cause program. This program enables employees to pay for dressing casually at work. Money collected is contributed to a different local cause each month.
