Allied FCU Staff Donate $600 to Harvesting in Mansfield
March 5, 2025
AlliedFCU donated $600 to Harvesting in Mansfield (HIM) last week, helping support the non-profit’s mission of creating a hunger-free world. HIM serves roughly 100,000 people in more than 25 counties, looking for lasting ways to improve the lives of impoverished children and families. AlliedFCU’s $600 donation amount is a nod to the credit union’s 60-year anniversary this year. The money is donated by employees through their Casual for a Cause program.
Casual for a Cause gives AlliedFCU employees opportunities to pay money for dressing casually at work. That money is donated to different local causes each month. Those causes are selected by an employee-based committee.
“Food is a basic need, and sadly, many in our community are struggling to put it on their tables regularly,” Said Sarah Ramos, AVP of Experience. “HIM doesn’t just provide healthy groceries to individual families in need in our immediate community. It also provides bulk groceries to more than 100 churches and other nonprofit organizations for distribution across North Texas. What HIM does is life giving for a lot of people, and we’re proud to support its efforts.”
