Allied FCU Donates $600 to Hagar’s Heart to Support
Domestic Violence Survivors
Arlington, TX – Allied Federal Credit Union recently donated $600 to Hagar’s Heart, a local organization that teams up with domestic violence agencies across North Texas to surround survivors with care. Through thoughtful self-care programs, they help individuals rediscover their worth, rebuild confidence, and begin healing from the emotional, psychological, and verbal abuse they’ve endured. Hagar’s Heart has helped more than 8,100 domestic violence survivors since May of 2020.
“Everyone deserves to feel seen, cared for and reminded that they are enough,” said AlliedFCU CEO Tonia Clark. ” We’re honored to support an organization that helps survivors rebuild their sense of worth, rediscover their strength, and believe in their future again.”
Hagar’s Heart was selected by AlliedFCU’s employee-based committee which manages the credit union’s Casual for a Cause program. This program enables employees to pay for dressing casually at work. Money collected is contributed to a different local cause each month.
